He has led the Government of Yukon’s sustainability efforts for its assets for over 7 years as the manager and acting director of its climate change team. As one of the leading subject matter experts on climate change topics for the government, Tony led collaborative efforts to decarbonize buildings, construct renewable energy systems, electrify transportation, and improve the climate resilience of public assets.

Prior to his time with the Government of Yukon, he developed and managed the program to guide energy conservation projects at Government of Canada buildings located in BC and the Yukon.

During his decade-long experience in this field, Tony’s passion has evolved into bridging the gaps between sustainable business practices, technical opportunities, and operational upkeep. These three ingredients are essential for organizations’ climate change efforts. Sustainable business practices need to establish clear and realistic expectations for investments, while providing operational teams adequate support to ensure sustained, efficient operations to achieve intended results.
